Our client, a public sector sporting organisation have an immediate requirement for an interim HR Officer for a minimum period of 3 months. Reporting to the HR Manager you will be responsible for providing a full comprehensive day to day professional HR service to employees and line managers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  

• Responsible for providing advice and guidance on a range of ER issues
• Management of the monthly payroll
• Ensure the HR database is maintained and updated, and able to run reports via the in-house system.
• Monitoring of employee benefits
• Responsible for supporting and developing the HR Assistant
• Manage maternity, paternity and adoption across the organisation
• Monitor recruitment and probation for all new starters
• Provide support on a daily basis to the HR Manager
• Update and write policies as and when required
• Attendance at meetings as and when required

You will need to be CIPD qualified or equivalent, with proven experience of working within HR. You must also possess extensive knowledge of HR matters in particular employee relations, performance/attendance management and be confident in handling difficult and varied issues along with experience of running payroll on a monthly basis and liaising with payroll providers.
