Job Description
Position Summary
We are currently looking for an experienced HR professional to join our dedicated HR team. The successful candidate must be a self starter and preferably have experience of working within a sales organisation.
The position requires key focus in employee relations and performance management. The successful applicant will also possess experience of writing policies and procedures and providing guidance both face to face and over the telephone to all line managers and staff.
The successful candidate will work with the HR team to support our business and proactively champion change initiatives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Policies and Procedures:
- Maintain employee welfare and advise accordingly on the implementation of differing policies.
- Prepare and update HR policies/procedures for internal use. Make sure all policies are legally compliant in conjunction with revision of internal forms and documentation as necessary.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact as a member of the HR team with regard to all day to day HR related issues including: absence, grievance, maternity, paternity and capability.
- Act as a HR representative at legal disputes and client concerns if required.
- Develop knowledge in order to assist with any contractor and client concerns as required.
- Support HR team for all bid and acquisition proposals (develop working knowledge and understanding of TUPE).
Recruitment:
- Oversee recruitment of internal staff and provide support to HR team and all Business Groups as required.
- Manage and record your recruitment activity in line with budgetary requirements. To include tracking progress and provision of up-dates to Human Resources Manager and relevant business groups.
Payroll and HR Processes:
- Act as a point of contact for payroll queries ensuring timely and accurate response.
- Create adhoc letters in response to generalist HR queries as appropriate.
- Perform HR employee reviews and exit interviews.
Compliance:
- Manage personnel files ensuring audit compliance.
- Manage HR processes inline with J-SOX (Japanese Sarbanes Oxley) requirements.
Benefits:
- Provide advice and guidance to all managers and employees regarding staff benefit schemes as appropriate.
Training:
- Advise managers as to internal and external training programmes working in liaison with the HR team including the HRM and Head of Organisational Change and Development, to include the Graduate training programme.
- Manage administration of employee appraisals - track and log all objectives and provide reports as required.
Other:
- Ensure all costs related to the HR Department are valid and paid on time.
- Manage the induction process for new starters you have recruited working closely to ensure inductions are completed. To include performing HR induction, liaising with managers to organise induction programmes and the completion of all HR probationary reviews including feedback to managers to agreed timeframes.
- Manage suggestion box scheme.
- Coordinate adhoc projects as and when required.
- Escalate issues as and when they occur.
- Perform any other duties that are requested.
Job Requirements
Essential
- Part CIPD qualified with relevant previous experience as a HR Advisor, predominantly employee relations
- Well versed in employment law
- Thorough administrative skills and ability to learn and develop quickly.
- Working Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Desirable
- Experience of working within the recruitment industry and/or a targeted sales environment.
- Some exposure to drafting and negotiating contracts and dealing with contractors.
