Our client is one of the world's largest metal producers with an annual turnover of over £9 billion and major operating facilities in the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, and Belgium. They have 41,200 employees in over 40 countries and sales offices and service centres worldwide.
The company currently have an excellent opportunity for a Management Development Advisor to join their progressive team in Rotherham or Scunthorpe. This will be a key role in within their centre of expertise.
The post holder will be responsible for the management, implementation and further enhancement of effective management development, talent and succession planning processes. These processes ensure the business is equipped with the leadership capability required to meet current and future requirements.
The post holder will play an active part across a full range of management development activities. This will include facilitating the personal development planning of key talent and developing appropriate T&D solutions. You will be expected to develop and deliver appropriate tools for management to use to ensure that robust succession plans are in place and to collate and report progress against these plans. You will also be required to ensure that appropriate support activities such as coaching and mentoring are in place.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and will ideally be CIPD qualified and hold the level A/B occupational testing qualification. You must have a good knowledge of management and career development along with a strong coaching style and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Hands on expertise in the management development toolkit is highly desirable e.g. appraisal, performance management, succession planning, assessment centres, etc. It is also important that you are results orientated and have the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
Located in Rotherham, this role is commutable from areas such as Sheffield, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Macclesfield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield and Wakefield.
