My client is looking to recruit an HR Manager for their new flagship office in Kent. You will be based from the regional distribution centre in Sittingbourne and will be responsible for recruiting and setting up a new function in terms of attracting and retaining employees to ensure the whole operation functions smoothly. Working closely with the Site manager and the regional HR Manager, you will work closely with the senior management team to provide advice and guidance on all aspects of HR to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to. Your client group will be c. 1000 employees and you will be involved with providing advice and guidance on all aspects of HR ranging from induction, recruitment, interviewing, employee relations, performance management and union negotiations. You will be tasked with setting up processes and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the site. Ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing or logistics background with strong union negotiation experience and a good employment law understanding. You will have good communication and influencing experience, be able to work under pressure and have experience of setting up a new division or greenfield site.
