Job Description

HR Officer,
Location: North Lincolnshire
Salary and benefits: £22,25,000 plus benefits
- excellent opportunity to work in fmcg for a fast busy role to gain substantial HR Generalist experience

The Company:
This is a highly successful company who had undergone considerable growth over the years and is constantly looking to improve their standards and looking for new market opportunities.

The Role:
The role reports directly into the HR Manager working closely with all departments and especially close to Line Managers and requires the person to be visable on the shop floor promoting Best Practice, equality and diversity
Recruiting staff to supervisory level
developing job specs, preparing adverts, dealing with agencies, checking/sorting and organising applications and the recruitment process from start to finish
Developing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities
disciplinary procedures and absence management
interpreting and advising employment legislation
listening to grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
planning and sometimes delivering training, including inductions for new staff
analysing training needs in conjunction with department managers
weekly, monthly reporting on labour turnover, absence, accident statistics and dept KPI's
Health & Safety control - first aid supplies, PPE sign offs, accident/incident recording follow ups

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or part CIPD qualified
Strong organisational skills and be able to understand detailed data
Basic IT and good numeracy skills
Good interpersonal skills and capable of forming effective working relationships with staff at all levels
A proven track record of 'making a difference'
Integrity and approachability and total confidentiality
The ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate it in a professional and understandable manner
Must be able to work on own initiative
