The HR Advisors will act as the first point of contact formanagers and be responsible for the provision of a dedicated telephone and e-mail HR advisory service that complements theHR initiatives. Responsibilities will include providing generalist operational HR advice and support on a wide range of HR issues including employment law, performance and absence management, health and safety, disciplinary and grievance etc right up to the issuing of proceedings. You will also participate in the delivery of Training and Development Seminars and participate in the co-ordination and implementation of new policies and procedures.

The HR Advisers will work within a specialist team reporting to an HR Consultant, although the group will also work closely with and have access to legal staff in the Employment department where necessary. Candidates should ideally have:

Solid background within a pure HR role
be working towards a CIPD (or equivalent) qualification or have a willingness to undertake;
an excellent knowledge of a broad range of HR issues;
good communication skills;
good administration skills; and
good computer skills.

Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate at interview that they are:

well organised;
proactive; and
