The position
You will support the Senior HR Business Partner in providing a professional generalist HR service to managers and staff within Career Services, External Relations, Academic Affairs, Subject Areas and Research Centres. This includes; HR guidance and advise, recruitment and selection, processing the monthly payroll and providing statistical information.

The department
The HR department provides a proactive business partnership service to the Schools c 480 staff (non-academic) in the areas of: recruitment, talent management, retention, organisational development, learning and development, diversity, performance, reward, health and safety, employee relations, absence/capability management. The team works closely with Heads of Departments and line managers to support them in achieving their business goals through their people.
The individual
The successful candidate will be a graduate with a good working knowledge of employment legislation and ideally be full or part CIPD qualified. You will have experience of managing recruitment campaigns including interviewing and advising managers on selection decisions and advising managers on interviewing and you will have handled various case work such as sickness/absence management and disciplinary and grievance issues. It is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have an aptitude for analysing data.
