Senior management require an HR Manager to support and advise on employment relations (ER), disciplinaries and grievances (D&G) recruitment and change management. The role will also require the leading and development of staff and managers. With a larger remit to improve the service of HR and engage and provide a seamless HR service to cluster groups.
The main scope of this role is to deliver advice on issues such as employment relations, performance management, tribunal investigation and employment law. This will include overseeing the casework, checking quality and consistency whilst identifying strategic and operational themes. In addition you will be required to coach, mentor and challenge both managers and staff in the implementation of HR policy. This role will have you working with HR Business Partners to drive and support the development and delivery of cultural change and throughout the organisation. The role will also require you to build and maintain effective relationships with trade union representatives and involve the organisations trade union partners. Championing equality and diversity, through promotion and understanding and application in all employment relations work and interventions is key part of this role. To develop and ensure specific, measurable and realistic audit requirements and routines are in place and advising on any actions required to minimize risk and financial exposure.
This role will require you to have a positive and flexible attitude. You will possess outstanding communication skills and will be able to present and relay complex information, in a clear and concise manner. You must have the ability to inspire and influence people. You will possess an expert knowledge of employment relations legislation and their effect on local government.
You will have a proven track record of operating at a strategic level and working to tight deadlines. This role is a 12 month contract and will be looking to start as soon as possible.
