A Rare Opportunity for an HR/Payroll Officer, within a small friendly HR Team. This organisation will offer CIPD Support.
Responsibilities:
- Advise managers on HR policies and procedures, recruitment and retention, employment legislation and conditions of service
- To advise on preventative issues relating to staff care and well being e.g. employee attendance / sickness absence, pensions etc.
- Compile and maintain records for the Working Time Directive, including ensuring that the time and attendance system is upto date.
- Recording movements such as holidays, off site days and absence.
- Advise and support managers on employee relations, e.g. staff discipline, grievances, performance management etc.
- Coordinating data gathering and analysis of key HR information, including turnover, absence for KPI purposes each month
- Responsible for administrating and communicating the HR KPI's monthly.
- Responsible for the recruitment and selection process, which includes developing job descriptions, preparing advertisements, checking application form, short-listing, interviewing and selecting of candidates alongside the recruiting manager
- Responsible for issuing contracts of employment and offer letters to new starters
- Responsible for ensuring that all new starters have the company and health & safety induction
- Carry out exit interviews for the company and keeping a record of results for improvements
- Responsible for ensuring that the company handbook is kept up-to-date with current policies and procedures
- Support the HR & Training Manager with any training administration
- Manage the payroll for all employees, both monthly and weekly
- Process any payroll exceptions and adjustments such as SSP SMP, starters & leavers, bank holidays etc.
- Deliver payroll in line with deadlines, distribute payslips to the relevant people
- Manage employee pay queries, resolving them with best practice
- Conduct internal audits of payroll processes and procedure
- Manage P11D reporting process
