This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly created HR Service Centre within the Public Sector. Reporting to the HR Service Centre Manager you will lead one of two support desk teams of up to 15 HR Advisers. Your overall objective will be to provide a highly efficient single point of contact and support for all managers and staff across a number of offices nationwide.
You will be responsible for monitoring the support desk service against agreed service levels and providing advice and guidance to the HR Advisers, ensuring that appropriate escalation processes are followed.
The successful applicant will also assist HR Service Centre managers on the development of the Support Desk service, resource levels and the content of the HR intranet and other knowledge bases.

- Establish and maintain monitoring tools and processes to ensure service levels are met
- To provide operational support at all levels on HR and employee relations' issues.
- Staff Management
Desired Characteristics
- CPP/CIPD qualified and ability to demonstrate continuous personal development in HR.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff of all grades.
- General knowledge and understanding of HR policy and practice, ideally gained in a HR shared service environment.
- Good team-building, management and motivation skills to deliver an efficient, effective customer-focused support service.
- A proven track record of dealing with HR casework, including Grievance and Discipline would be highly desirable.
