Job Description

Our client is a leading support services company employingc. 7,500 people at more than 150 locations across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Our clientcurrently have a vacancy for an HR Business Manager covering Pay & Benefits.

Your job will be to contribute towards the attraction, retention and motivation of staff at all organisational levels through:
• The development, implementation and benchmarking of pay and benefits structures which are well-designed, equitable and competitive; and
• The operation and maintenance of theJob Evaluation System (JES).

Responsibilities:
Pay and Benefits
• Plan and co-ordinate the delivery of regular compensation activities such as annual salary review and bonus payments.
• Lead the annual review, update and launch of the flexible benefits plan.
• Develop and implement Total Reward Statements
• Regularly benchmark pay and benefits (including the broad band pay bands) against the external market generally and competitors in particular.
• Monitor developments in pay/bonus awards, pay differential trends and recruitment/retention difficulties through effective and tim Detailed practical experience of both job evaluation and pay and benefits benchmarking.
• Detailed understanding of statute law, case law and best practice in relation to compensation and equal pay issues.
• Analytical and numerate with the ability to compose and present a succinct business case in support of recommendations for change.
• Working knowledge of how to specify, evaluate and select providers of pay and benefits services, and to mobilise their effective delivery.
• Able to empathise with, and communicate clearly and persuasively both verbally and in writing to, a variety of internal and external audiences.
• Intermediate level Excel skills (including the ability to set up formulae and utilise pivot tables to manipulate large spreadsheets).
• Graduate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), with the potential and aspiration to achieve Chartered Member status.
