Job Description

A Principle HR Advisor to provide advice on pay grading and benefits, employee relations (ER), remuneration and workforce planning whilst implementing related policy and procedure within a local government organisation is required.

This role will be reporting directly into the Remunerations Manager and will have you responsible for providing advice on conditions of service including remuneration, job evaluation and grading as well as helping to implement, monitor and review related policies and procedures. At the same time you will be ensuring that these policies and employment terms are meeting the council’s requirements. This role will also have you contributing to the development of strategic workforce plans to meet the organisations future requirements. Conducting job evaluations, sitting in on job evaluation panels and presenting appeals are an important aspect of this role. This role will also require you to provide some assistance in negotiating with trade unions on remuneration related matters.

This role will require you to analyze complex data and prepare recommendations. You will also posses outstanding communication skills and are able to present and relay complex information, in a clear and concise manner. You will have a proven track record of operating at a similar advisory level. This role is a three month contract and will be looking to start as soon as possible.
