Expanding publishing company need an experienced HR Advisor to join their busy team.
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be part of a team offering a high quality, commercial HR generalist service. Overall you will be working to enhance individual and departmental performance through HR interventions whilst working within broader organisational change and restructuring processes. You will be providing advice and support to managers and staff in order to maximise the effectiveness of the change and mitigate adverse employee relations. There is a heavy ER slant to this role as you will be managing grievance and disciplinary hearings and pro actively working on absence cases. In addition you may be required to conduct redundancy consultations and any associated interventions.
In terms of experience all applicants should demonstrate significant experience in an operational HR role including significant exposure to UK employment law. The role is based in Surrey for approx 3 or 4 days a week and travel to the Head office in London will be required for the remaining days. This split will depend on work load so you will need to be flexible.
