An opportunity has arisen for the position of human resources advisor to work within a 6 month maternity cover contract.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor will provide a proactive HR Advisory support service to local business teams at an operational level. They will support the business with local people related initiatives and provide advice guidance on Employee Relations related issues.
The local HR Advisor will receive work from the local business area or escalations from the HR Service Centre. By working closely with business unit managers, the HR Service Centre & and the HR Business Partner this role will contribute to the success of the overall HR Service Centre model.
Some key responsibilities and features of these roles include:
· General high level advice and guidance to managers on such issues as disciplinary cases, absence and performance management
· Local job evaluation
· Local HR reporting requirements
· Management of front end recruitment activities as well as assisting with local resourcing plans
· Budget management
· Diversity and inclusion initiatives
· Local reward formulation
· Involvement with local focus groups
· Management and control of local HR related documentation
· Support to HR Business Partner
· Involvement in some project based work for G&R
· Establish and maintain close working relationship with the HR Service Centre
