Job Description

HR Manager (to £40,000 plus bonus)

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading retail groups, which has experienced excellent growth with new store openings over the last 18 months. As an HR Manager you will provide an effective HR service to both UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking for that next challenge within your career in a role that offers both operational and strategic responsibilities.

Your duties as HR Manager will require you to:
• Effectively manage and develop the HR Officer and ensure service level expectations are delivered
• Advise and coach store and Head office managers on more complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management etc
• Review and improve company benefits
• Work with Occupational Health provider in cases of long term absence
• Liaise with legal representation in tribunal cases
• Manage redundancy and TUPE processes as and when required
• Work with Retail Operations department in further developing succession planning and talent management
• Play a key role in the annual pay review process
• Develop resources to improve the overall capability of managers in stores and Head Office
• Work in conjunction with the Training manager to establish training needs for store and Head office employees
• To ensure the effective and timely recruitment of senior manager populations in stores and Head office and utilises the most appropriate form of media to attract the right candidates
• Attend regional meetings to brief Store/General Managers on a range of HR related information
• To run training workshops as and when required for store and Head Office employees.
• To undertake projects as and when required to further improve the HR processes, policies and services

To apply for this role HR Manager position you must have experience of working within a customer driven environment. In addition you must be either CIPD qualified or working towards qualification.
