My client, an international Management Consultancy, is looking for a Staffing Manager to join their expanding team. This role requires resource allocation inline with availability, the pipeline, budgets and aims to meet the needs of the business
Your key responsibilities will be:
Staffing Management
- Update and manage staffing model and staffing communication
- Ensure project team quality:
Blend of skills for the job?
Fair allocation of stars across projects?
Enough resource from contractor pool / OC&C network
- Administer a weekly staffing model report and attend every Monday at 8.30am with sector heads
- Monitor and ensure project control interns of authorisation of project overruns and the requirement of jobsheets
- Track and authorize holidays, leave, sickness etc
- Become the prime contact for all staffing decisions and as you progress, facilitate more contentious decisions and mediate as and when required
- Work with the staff to ensure they focus on development needs and preferences as well as the needs of the business
- Monitor real hours and organize TOIL accordingly
- Follow up on end of project feedback and notify training team of any requirements
- Regularly review project feedback survey
- Hire contractors for projects with specialist skill requirement as and when required
- Conduct formal 6 monthly staffing chats post appraisal, and ad hoc conversations with staff
- Providing ad hoc support to the HR Manager, supporting HR initiatives
Breadth of Experience:
- Experience in resource allocation
- Professional Services or Partnership experience is essential
- Ideally used to dealing with multiple people
Qualifications / Tools:
- Competent in with MS Operating System
Behavioural Skills:
- The ability to be proactive and use initiative
- Effective skills in negotiating and persuasion, with gravitas
- Enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude
- Evidence of multi tasking ability
- Good inter-personal skills to work effectively with all individuals
