My client, a fast-paced government organisation is looking for a driven HR Manager to provide a proactive, professional and effective people management service for the managers and employees across the division.
Candidates must have extensive generalist HR experience, preferably within a publically funded organisation. Experience of working with and positively influencing senior management is important, ideally with exposure or the potential to manage a team of people.
Responsibilities will include:
•Promotes, implements, monitors and reviews a range of personnel management policies/issues within the Division
•Develops and leads a number of strategic projects
•Implements and develops the Divisional Human Resources plan and develops and manages the staffing requirements of the Division
•Contributes to the development of the Corporate People Strategy
•Monitors and implements the sickness management process/policy
•Manages and monitors Health and Safety, sickness and welfare matters
•Oversees training need/skills gap analysis at a Divisional level, develops and implements the training programme including the preparation of training bids
Skills and experience required:
•Previous experience of delivering a proactive HR service
•Holds a CIPD qualification
•An ability to influence key stake holders
•A decisive nature with the ability to push boundaries ensuring operational success
•Be a team player with the ability to motivate and work alongside others and share best practice
