Our client, a leading governing body in the not for profit sector, require a Head of HR to cover a 6 month maternity cover.
Job Description : Based in Regents Park, to manage a team of 6 staff and provide a full HR service, to the institute as a whole as well as overseeing the management of the conference centre and staff.
You will take responsibility for delivering a strategic and operational HR service in consultation with the Chief Executive, ensuring good practice is achieved in all HR operations.
Duties will include recruitment & selection, employment relations, compensation and benefits, managing staff welfare issues, staff appraisals, overseeing payroll, co-ordination of all HR administration, training and development, undertaking ad hoc HR projects, design and implementation of HR initiatives, producing HR reports, whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with the business as a whole.
To be successful for this role, you will have previous HR Manager experience and have ideally worked in a similar role and within the “not for profit” sector. You will already have gained experience in managing budgets, learning and development, and undertaking ad hoc HR projects as well as responsibility for overseeing the Facilities Manager in the role of premises management.
You will have excellent organisational/communication skills and be self-motivated. A good understanding of current employment legislation and best HR practice is essential. You will be flexible, proactive and able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
