Head of HR - London Law Firm - £competitive

  

One of London's leading award winning law firms is looking for a Head of HR for one of its practice areas.  Duties will include:-

Responsible for strategic leadership and implementation of all Human Resources policies,procedures and activities within the Litigation Practice including attracting, retaining, developing and leveraging talent. Specifically:

• Managing search and selection activities, particularly for senior hires, including briefing search firms and contract negotiation
• Managing the integration and development of key senior hires
• Supporting local and global management in the development of performance, recognition

and reward policies and programmes

• Advising senior management on the implementation of reward policies
• Supporting the Partners in delivering effective performance, talent and career management

processes

• Continually reviewing manpower and succession planning requirements to ensure there is

sufficient strength in reserve and continued organisational development

• Ensuring best practice in employee relations including management of grievance,

disciplinary and termination processes

• Leading the Litigation HR team and acting as mentor/advisor to the wider HR community
• Contributing to the development of the Global HR function and the service it provides to the

business

Reports to:

Global Human Resources Director and the Senior and Managing Partners, Global Litigation

Practice.

Direct reports:

One full time HR Officer and one full time Administrator.
