My client is a City based Law firm with in excess of 50 partners who are looking to take on a new HR manager This position would suit an HR Officer looking to take the next step up into their first HR manager role.
The role is very much generalist in nature and will require someone with professional services background who understand the complications of working with a system of partners. In addition your responsibilities will include recruitment from assisting with writing of job descriptions to conducting interview and negotiating with recruitment consultants.
You will also be required to be able to provide advice on Employment Law and assist managers with discipline and grievance procedures.
You will have one administrator reporting directly into you and you will be responsible for their training and development, whether that be internal or external training.
People development plans will also be put into place by you as we look to make a HR a business critical function.
