Background
A great opportunity has just become available for an Interim Commercial HR Manager to work for a market-leading Retail organisation.
The Role
To continuously improve the people performance of the operations in third party providers and drive out value and enhanced service from the commercial arrangements. To support office based teams in UK Planning and Development by providing an operational and strategic HR service across all areas.
The key responsibilities will be to build effective working relationships with the Third Parties through their operational and management teams.
In conjunction with the UK Commercial, Planning and Development Managers, to develop the learning and development plans for their teams and implement and drive the plan forward on an ongoing basis via development interventions, coaching support.
To ensure the effective implementation of Supply Chain and Distribution projects by translating objectives into HR plans and driving the development and achievement of these plans.
To maintain a fair and consistent approach to grievance and disciplinary issues by providing advice and guidance to managers on policies and procedures.
To drive a consistent approach to absence management by providing advice and guidance to managers on dealing with absence issues and to maintain a focus on attendance management.
To support with recruitment activities as required and developing processes in line with best practice.
The Person
CIPD qualified
Previous HR experience within a commercial environment
Experience of working with 3PLs desirable
Ability to influence and effectively communicate at all levels
Ability to build effective working relationships
Experienced coach
Trade Union experience
Sound employment law knowledge in particular TUPE
IT and analytical skills
Proven negotiating skills
Highly commercial
