This is a rare opportunity for a proven HR Manager to join our client New Balance, globally re-known for the manufacture of specialist sports shoes.
Based at the UK manufacturing plant in the North West region of the lake district, your primary role will be to provide a hands-on operational HR service to the manufacturing team and at the same time deliver and coordinate the HR plan in line with the business objectives and with commercial and strategic awareness. This role also requires you to work closely with the factory manager to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing operation.
Working closely with the EMEA HR team, you will as HR Manger play a part in Employee Relations, Policy Development (committees/surveys), Communication, Recruitment, Training & Development, Performance Management, and UK Payroll & Benefits, Quality Management, whilst at the same time help drive an ongoing change management programme.
To undertake these duties to the standard required, you will as HR Manager have strong Communication, Influencing, Negotiating and Facilitating skills, be proactive and resilient and be motivated by this chance for the relative autonomy associated with this position. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified and with Lean management experience or something similar. A good sense of humour will help make this role enjoyable.
