Job Description

Due to this growth and the future strategy for the business, the need has arisen for a Group HR Manager to join and help push the organisation on to the next level.

As Group HR Manager you will:
Report directly into the Commercial Manager, the role would be ideally suited to a bright and dynamic HR professional looking to make a step forward in their own career into a role with real challenges and future prospects.
In line with the ethos of the company, you will focus on engendering a high-performance culture that emphasises empowerment, quality, productivity and standards. You will be expected to contribute both operationally and commercially to the business and will be encouraged to bring new ideas and strategies to the table to push the business forward.

As the company grows, you will effectively manage the recruitment and selection process and develop, motivate and performance manage the workforce. On a day to day basis you will guide line management through disciplinaries and grievances as well as fully managing sickness and absence in the organisation.
You will also be supported by an HR Assistant and will be responsible for their management and development, working closely on a one-to-one basis.
The business prides itself on placing it's people at the centre of everything that it does and it is important that you will build relationships quickly and effectively with staff at all levels, including senior management with whom you will work closely. It is expected that you will have strong communication skills and be able to work calmly under pressure.

In terms of qualifications, CIPD membership would be preferred but is not essential although you will need experience of HR systems and databases and be comfortable with handling your own administration where necessary. Equally, you will have a strong current knowledge of employment law and have exemplary organisational skills.
