My client is looking to recruit a HR Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract. Based in Wiltshire 3 days a week with travel to other sites for the other 2 days you will be responsible for delivering a client focused and professional HR service and support the delivery of business objectives through the provision of operational HR services within the context of the business's vision and strategy. Key Responsibilities: HR Consultancy - Promote and deliver a client focused and highly professional operational HR service to the UK and Europe region. Working in partnership with the regional Management Team, HR colleagues and managers from across the organisation, to develop and deliver HR operational excellence that will help to achieve business objectives. Advice and Support - Provide responsive, high quality specialist advice supporting managers and directors within the on all aspects of human resources management including HR policy development; recruitment and retention; reward and recognition; performance management; talent management and succession planning; mergers and acquisitions; TUPE; organisational change, training and employee development. Staff Development and Talent Management - Support the implementation of appropriate staffing strategies and plans and the effective deployment of human resources. Assist the Resource Director to ensure training and development activities add value to the business. Assist, where appropriate, with the delivery of training/development activities and group facilitation activities. Compensation and Benefits - Assist HRD and Group HR Managers implement a fair compensation philosophy. Help foster a business climate in which behaviours and values are respected, recognised and rewarded. Employee Relations - Support the development and promotion of effective and credible working relationships with senior managers, other corporate services, Staff Council, regional Management Teams and external agencies to ensure positive employee relations and employer brand management. The ideal candidate profile will include: - CIPD qualified - Knowledge and in depth know-how of human resources management and its contribution to organisational effectiveness. - Demonstrable generalist HR experience operating at a senior adviser level/manager level, some of which may have been gained internationally. - Proven track record in successfully leading or managing some of the following areas: workload and process improvement initiatives for performance management & corrective action, succession planning, leadership assessment and development, grievance, disciplinary and absence management. - Experience of multi-site operations and matrix structures. - Well rounded, pragmatic and results focused. - Flexible, commercially minded and well practised in adapting to varying business agendas, with a strong operational delivery record and the ability to encompass and manage change.
