Our client a local public sector organisation, have an immediate requirement for an Interim Human Resources Manager (Organisational Development) for a minimum period of 6 months. Reporting to the Head of HR you will be responsible for successfully enabling and supporting business areas to meet their business goals and objectives and deliver outcomes through providing a high quality specialist and generalist HR service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Managing and motivating a locally-based HR team
· Developing credibility in establishing and developing a responsive Business Partner relationship with Senior Management Teams
· Building a culture which promotes the ethos of HR by supporting matrix managements arrangements across the HR service
· Providing a range of high quality Organisational Development advice and support, building capacity to enable managers within allocated business areas to manage their resources in the most effective and efficient manner
· Supporting Heads of HR with specific portfolio projects and initiatives and embracing cross organisation /cross service working practices
You will need to be CIPD qualified or equivalent with proven experience of dealing with senior management at operational and strategic level, previous experience of providing a quality organizational development service, proven experience of dealing with unions, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and persuade at a senior level, strong communication skills, ability to keep up to date with changing employment legislation and previous experience of working within the public sector would be advantageous.
