Development Manager Central London 9-12 Month Contract
Basic £40,000 to £50,000 + Benefits.
High profile services group with a high street brand, and strong media/publishing influence, are seeking to appoint a number 1 Development Manager. This business has 450 staff based over 2 locations in the UK and needs a strong leader to push the L&D agenda at senior management level, and help drive through an agenda of change.
The Role is responsible for all development and learning, and reports directly to the Head of Human Resources.
Ensuring that business needs and requirements are met, including:-
· Proactively develop management capability in the company
· Design and deliver high quality development solutions in response to identified needs
· Build and maintain a core portfolio of learning solutions.
· Utilise the full range of learning methodologies to meet development needs.
· Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of L&D suppliers and establish a list of core suppliers
· Manage the development budget
· Maintain L&D content on company intranet, ensuring that content is topical and value adding for audience
· Coach managers to achieve development objectives
· Respond to development needs identified in the annual appraisal process
You will have:
· Extensive experience in the design and delivery of learning solutions that directly affect the bottom line
· Ideally experience from a large commercial sector where ever-changing priorities are the norm
· Ability to demonstrate commitment, energy and a true passion for developing people to deliver tangible business results
· Extensive coaching experience of managers is essential
· MBTI desirable
· Psychometric accreditations desirable
· Coaching qualifications desirable
