Job Description

The role oversees responsibility for L&D for over 2500 staff, providing direct support to managers, assists with strategic direction, aligning training to the organisations objectives; Has direct responsibility for QA team and manages the design & delivery of all operational training for staff via the development of an integrated training plan, that ensures need drives delivery and is aligned to the business plan. Managing six direct reports, the L&D/QA department totals 80 staff, the Deputy Head of L&D will have budgetary responsibility and will develop and monitor the Business Improvement Plan.

 

Candidates will need to have gained considerable learning and development skills, with experience of managing and leading a significantly sizable team within a large, complex organisation. Applicants must have a proven track record of managing change, managing budgets and proven track record of L&D management. Candidates must be CIPD or have a comparable training qualification. This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
