This award winning and continuously high ranking US and International law firm has a substantial and expanding European practice with particular emphasis on cross-border acquisitions, capital markets transactions, private equity funds, financings and restructurings. They place particular emphasis on employing lawyers whose personal qualities, academic records and achievements demonstrate exceptional ability, motivation and potential for growth. This newly created role will involve working closely with Partners and Associates and liaising with the London Director of Administration and the Professional Development Manager in the US to coordinate training and development for all associates, trainees and legal assistants. The main focus of this position is to organise ongoing training and strategic career development for the London Associates and monitor trends and best practices in professional development, providing career counselling and guidance, administering and contributing to the evaluation process and supervising and monitoring work allocation and work load for counsel, associates and legal assistants. You will also participate and contribute to the firm ' s Diversity Committee as a representative of the London office. The ideal candidate will be degree educated in Law or Human Resources with strong communication and written skills as well as prior professional development experience within a law firm.
