Job Description

My South East Local Government client is seeking a Strategic Organisational and Learning Development Manager to start as soon as possible, on an interim basis, for a 6-9 month on going period.

The position offers £500 per day and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate, with the ability to manage large products, to take on a challenging but rewarding role. The position involves reporting into the Head of People Management as well deputising for this position when required.

The duties involved include effective delivery of all management and L&D strategy. Management is a key aspect of the role and you should be able to manage and develop teams of HR professionals and learning staff as well as the Graduate Training Scheme and even, at times, act as a business unit manager, ensuring effective budget control. This makes the position a broad and exciting challenge for a candidate with management experience.

This is an L&D position and as such extensive knowledge of learning and organisational development theory and application as well its effect on organisational effectiveness and management strategies is crucial.

My client is anticipating large scale projects and will therefore be looking for a dynamic individual with a problem solving attitude.

If you feel this describes you and you meet the requirements, please send your updated CV to (email address removed) quoting the role reference number. Interviews will be for the week starting 2nd August 2010.
