Our client is a global manufacturing organisation, with an enviable track record of success. Highly respected, they can boast excellent relationships with their customers and suppliers and a quality product which is second to none. This high profile role has been created to support the ongoing growth and development of the business.
Reporting to the HR Director, and working as part of the HR team, you will support the design and delivery of development solutions that enable the business to build the individual and organisational capability required to support cultural change. Whilst the role involves minimal training delivery, you will be responsible for ensuring that development activities are delivered on time and to quality standards through a network of in-house and third party trainers, many of whom you will introduce to the business yourself.
You will manage a portfolio of projects, examples of which include:
oimprove the organisation's learning & development processes e.g. planning, design, delivery, evaluation.
ofacilitate the delivery and evaluation of a leadership development programme through 3rd party providers, and continually improve to ensure it reflects strategic goals.
oImplement the ‘Investors in People' initiative.
oProduce a strategy and development programme for apprentice training.
This project approach will require working closely with key individuals & groups across the business to understand their requirements and to shape and deliver solutions that meet these.
This role requires an experienced professional with recognised expertise in learning & development, who will possess a robust understanding of current thinking and practice in this field. Customer focussed, you will have strong, practical experience of designing & delivering a broad range of training initiatives, within a blue-chip organisation. This experience must go beyond the design and delivery of classroom based events, and candidates should be able to demonstrate robust project management expertise, and a talent for coaching others.
