Our client is a leading hospitality provider who is continuing to expand despite the recent financial turmoil. The business model is strong and the business goes from strength to strength. As the operation grows the importance of the learning and development strategy becomes even more essential, and an exciting opportunity has arisen to head up this function across both field and head office populations. The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for creating and delivering an exciting and innovative learning and development strategy that both supports the brand and business strategy, is aligned to the operational excellence model and builds the business capability both in the field and at head office. With over 5000 field based employees and 40 new sites opening every year, and an additional 250+ in head office, the challenges are endless but offers a real opportunity for you to have an impact across the business. The learning and development team includes 3 regional training advisers, so the role will involve national travel. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering an innovative and creative L&D program within a fast paced environment, ideally retail or hospitality. Although based from head office within Oxfordshire, the role will involve extensive travel and therefore key project planning skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
