An Organisational Development (OD) Officer is urgently required within local government to assist in performance management, corporate learning and development (L&D) programmes, training and briefing, workforce development groups and cultural change.
This role will have you working closely with managers and senior business partners on key development issues as part of each clusters plans. Maintaining and promoting the awareness of the contribution that OD can make in terms of working culture, change and communication across the organisation. The review of policy throughout the organisation will enable you to develop various training schemes from funding through to reviewing and monitoring their effectiveness As performance management will be a key aspect of this role, you will be required to take responsibility for 1:1s and development of follow up plans. You will also be required to matrix manage the admin and shared services staff, provide feedback on any developments relating to OD, review their work and revise systems as necessary.
To be successful in this role you will need previous experience in learning and development and staff management. You must have confidence in using your own judgement in day to day HR activities. You must have excellent communication and negotiation skills. This role is a 3 month contract position to start as soon as possible.
