My client, a leading European bank requires a Payroll Accountant Manager to work in the payroll department which comprises of 6 people and manages all the payroll activity, including two monthly payrolls, year end returns, P60's, P11d's, PSA, HMRC enquiries and employee enquiries.
Role:
· Manage the payroll team including one direct report..
· Provide advice on PAYE related matters.
· Responsible for completing all statutory returns.
· Respond to employee payroll queries.
· Responsible for completing annual returns including P11d and PSA.
· Update procedures and processes to keep up to date with changing legislation and changes to the HR systems.
· Manage the relationship with our payroll provider Ceridian.
· Review the effectiveness and efficiency of the payroll procedures and suggest and implement improvements.
Skill and Qualifications:
· Payroll manager level or equivalents within financial services.
· Understanding of the complete payroll process
· Understanding of PAYE legislation and how to apply it to payroll
· IPPM qualified
· To be familiar with running multiple pay-groups and payrolls.
· Direct experience of managing a payroll team
· To be up to date with the latest PAYE legislation and market practices
· Experience of managing problem scenarios and complex issues
· Committed to the team and willing to work long hours when necessary to get the job done.
· Experience of managing an expatriate payroll
