Job Description
The Resource Manager position will take a lead ing role in the improvement of the management of the Resourcing function and to optimise the spread and allocation of work amongst staff so conflicts can be managed. Key accountabilities include;
• Ensuring a broad mix of challenging client work to all staff, taking active role in staff development and ensuring that client and firm needs are also met.
• Proactive management of staffing surpluses and shortages, including working with other Business Units and Cross Line of Service to ensure optimum levels of utilisation for all client facing staff - ensure to meet utilisation targets.
• Resolving resourcing conflicts.
• Running the (Notes based, Excel, Retain and GFS) planning system and reporting to management.
• Work with Graduate, experience Hire Recruitment to ensure manpower planning is at its optimum and to liaise start dates, buddies and other adhoc duties.
• To work with Professional qualifications teams to co-ordinate courses, college pathways, start dates etc.
• Agreeing holiday and monitoring leave (holiday and study) so that both individual needs are taken into acc
You must be able to demonstrate the following:
• Proven people management experience and the individual must be credible to staff at all levels.
• Excellent communication, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong information/data handling skills and the ability to collate information and present it in a form suitable for management purposes.
• Strong organisation skills and an ability to prioritise work loads, while being adaptable.
• Good IT skills including Notes and Excel.
• An interest in business/commercial impacts and an ability to look at the "big picture"
• Very approachable, good listening skills and an ability to coach others.
• Proactive in seeking feedback and suggesting improvements.
• An HR/Operational or Recruitment background is desirable.
