Job Description

Training Verifier - Health & Safety - Commercial Affairs - Wigston, Leicestershire - Salary £20.5-£22k

The Organisation
This institution is the Chartered body for health and safety professionals and with more than 37, 000 members, the worlds biggest professional health and safety organisation.

The role
Working within the Commercial Affairs Department, you will provide quality control checks on training delivered by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) approved training providers, as well as supporting trainer development in-line with national standards in training and assessment best practice.

Key duties include:
- Responding to e-mail and telephone enquiries
- Familiarity with all commercial affairs products
- Supporting the training provider you will:
o quality check and approve qualifications and experience of trainers
o plan/organise familiarisation training day events
- Assisting the quality control manager to administer and monitor course paperwork
- Using the customer relationship management system
- Planning and co-ordinating validation visits, validate training provider courses, whilst ensuring familiarity with all training materials, completing the validation process by giving the training provider constructive verbal feedback as well as producing detailed written reports, to an agreed framework
- Moderating assessment papers, as well as provide constructive feedback on assessment marking
- Administering and monitoring all course paperwork
- Conducting on-site or remote audits
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems

Candidate skills
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years training assessment experience and will be familiar with quality control auditing systems. Experience with face to face delivery is preferred although not essential.

You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, possess strong written and verbal communications skills, have good organisational skills and adopt a - can-do' attitude.

Qualifications required
- 4 GCSE's or equivalent, Grades A-C to include Maths and English - essential
- TDLB Assessor Award units A1 and A2 or equivalent - essential
- To have an A level standard (national level 3) qualification in training preferred (or be prepared to undertake the study required to achieve this qualification - preferred)
- To have an A level standard (national level 3) qualification in health and safety preferred (or be prepared to undertake the study required to achieve this qualification - preferred)
- Competence in using MS Office packages - essential.


Additional requirements
- Full clean UK driving licence - essential
- Prepared to undertake UK travel with overnight stays - essential
- Report writing ability to agreed framework and with the ability to compose written correspondence - preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety in the work place - preferred.


Training
- A Working Safely and Manual Handling courses are obligatory for all new members of staff at this level
- The post holder should be willing to undertake any relevant training/ qualifications that will assist them in the implementation of their duties.
