Training Assistant at an Award Winning Law Firm – to £25k
This award winning law firm is looking to recruit a training assistant to assist in the development, implementation and administration of the firm’s training programmes and to help ensure that the department provides a quality service in all respects.
Key responsibilities:
· to administer the day-to-day running of the firm’s associate and partner training programme including ensuring that there is effective liaison with speakers, facilities and reception.
· to assist with the setting up of the firm’s annual training programme for associates and partners, and to administer the programme, including scheduling topics, speakers and rooms, and sending out notifications.
· to assist with the setting up of the firm’s annual technical training programme for associates and partners, and to administer the programme, including scheduling topics, speakers and rooms, send out notifications.
· to act as a principal point of contact on training matters and provide a prompt and appropriate response to emails, correspondence and telephone calls.
· to assist in identifying and evaluating the training needs of legal staff, business services staff and secretaries to produce their annual training programmes.
· to execute training needs analysis and track and report on the effectiveness of various learning programmes.
· to administer and organise external course bookings for partners, associates and business services.
· to assist in the administration of the firm’s CPD recording systems, such as Dovetail and Personal Trainer.
· to summarise end of course/ post course evaluation forms as part of the firm’s training evaluation process.
· to assist in developing, maintaining and ensuring that the Training Infocentral site is kept up to date on a timely basis, including ‘on line’ course materials.
· to ensure that training invoices and subscriptions are checked and paid on a timely basis.
· to provide secretarial support to the Head of Training & Development including managing diaries and opening and distributing post.
General
To keep supervisors fully informed of the current status of work, of any problems encountered and how these problems can be resolved.
To develop a detailed knowledge of training and development issues through appropriate
reading, seminars, networking events and practical experience.
To assist with other departmental activities and projects as appropriate and practise the
principles of excellent client service at all times.
