A financial services client desires a learning and development / training manager to contribute to the design and subsequent implementation of an organisational learning and development strategy in line with the business needs. You will report directly into the Head of Training and Development.
You will be required to ensure the delivery of training and development throughout the company, from induction to maintaining competence and supporting career development and academic / vocational learning. You and your team will design, development and deliver various training solutions within a range of environments including customer service, insurance claims, in-house training programmes, Management Development, soft skills and technical courses, in order to meet the strategic needs of the business. You will provide a flexible, supportive and professional service to all departments.
A key deliverable will be to ensure that Investors in People principles that relate to training and development are adhered to across the group. You will advise and recommend on how to best support and maintain the award.
You will partner business unit leaders in conducting Training Needs Analysis and associated solution design and delivery in line with business needs. You will identify and act upon any shortfall in skills and standards and provide regular feedback to senior managers as and when required. You will provide support to management / team leaders to ensure that colleagues are working towards the relevant skills and competencies required to deliver excellent customer service and performance standards.
You will manage the training team regarding performance management and career development. You will oversee the delivery of the transactional areas of learning and development, ensuring that all in-house and external training is administered and delivered across the group.
A professional training qualification is advantageous.
