Product Specialist - Leeds - Salary circa £18,000 - £21,000 - dependant on experience
Our client is a Computer Software house specialising in software systems for the Legal profession.
They are currently looking for a person to join their Training Team, to train new and existing users on their own Accounting software.
Although the primary function of our Product Specialists is in training new and existing users the role is so much more than this. Motivated and enthusiastic Product Specialists are crucial to maintaining the excellent customer relationships we enjoy.
The Role
This is very much an interesting and varied - client facing' role, the main duties of which combine training and customer care skills with a positive attitude to problem solving.
The role may also include involvement in the various aspects of the implementation of computerised systems, from Project Management, User Training and Support, through to post implementation reviews.
When not delivering training courses, which will either be held in our Leeds training centre or on client premises, the Product Specialist can expect to be involved in:
The upkeep of existing Courseware
Design and creation of new training courses and courseware
Performance testing of existing and new software
Telephone support to users during the implementation stage
Assisting the sales team in pre-contractual product demonstrations
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
A high standard of personal presentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work on own initiative, but also as part of a team
Good time management and organisational skills
Have a mature, strong confident yet diplomatic personality
Ability to deal confidently and patiently at all levels
Exposure to, and knowledge of computer-based systems
Clean Full UK driving licence
Flexible and positive approach to duties and working hours
An interest in self-development
Be willing and able to travel and stay away from home as necessary
Minimum of 2 years experience in a legal cashier office.
Location
The position is based at their Leeds office, but will involve a considerable amount of travel to client offices through the UK, often resulting in overnight stays.
General Package
Hours of work 8.45 am to 5 .30 p.m. Monday - Thursday
8.45 am to 5.00 Friday (3/4 hour for lunch) *
20 days holiday per annum (rising to 25 days after 2 years service) plus statutory holidays.
Quarterly Bonus scheme
Salary circa £18,000 - £21,000 - dependant on experience

3 month trial period
Company Car (or Car Allowance) after successful 3 months qualifying period (please note that during the 3 month trial period, transport, when required for business, is provided by way of hire vehicles.
* The nature of this position can mean longer hours especially when travelling to and from customer premises. No overtime is paid, however, a provision for time off - in lieu- of excess travelling time is provided.
