To be successful in this role, you will be able to provide professional HR advice and support to first line management, whilst providing support around proactive projects and concentrating on the delivery of day to day tasks.

Primarily the responsibilities of the role are around working across all functional areas to provide a first point of contact for HR queries. You will be a key part of their successful HR team, where they pride themselves on providing the best service possible to all of their colleagues. A focus for this role will be around the management of absence and disciplinaries, general advice and coaching for leaders within the business, along with the execution of our recruitment strategy.

Responsibilities of your role will also involve;
• Working closely with the HRBPs supporting on absence caseload including; capability, welfare checks / return to work plans and requesting GP and OH medical reports • Providing any legislative updates to the HR team and proposals of what may need to be changed in order to ensure compliance • Support the HR shared service team with absence, recruitment, payroll input and induction, as and when required • Organising and leading key meetings that promote engagement, progression and effective advice, whilst analysing the outcomes and trends

Hours of Work:
This role is 38 hours a week, based at our Pontefract and Castleford sites. This role is for a temporary contract of six months.
