HR Manager Responsibilities:
Lead and direct the HR team to deliver comprehensive HR service to business.
Employee Relations; managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances & sickness. Measure employee satisfaction and identify key areas which require improvement.
Performance Management: coaching managers on performance issues and processes
Provide guidance to develop managers and their teams.
Implement training, identifying areas that need improvement.
Manage talent and succession planning, making sure to take overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns.
Policy & procedures implementation of new policies, procedures and processes.
Reward advise and support employees on company benefits.
Work with senior managers to coach them and advise on team issues.
Deal with any disciplinary/grievance and HR issues.
Managing HR budgets.
Essential skills as a HR Manager:
Superb communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles.
Show how you've added value as both an individual and active team member.
Show experience of dealing with senior and challenging individuals.
Ability to build a rapport with key member of executive staff and to represent HR as part of the bigger business picture.
Show confidence in directing HR and advising managers on people management and development.
Strong understanding of employment law.
Salaries for a HR Manager average out at around £35,000 - 60,000 at the more senior level.
