Business Analyst/Berkshire/6 months Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst to support a Training Transformation Programme in a leading UK organisation on an initial 6 month contract.
This role will cover the typical BA activity through the changes of training for the organisations clients services team, including:

  • Develop modular & blended client training content with a set of bespoke tools for learning & content management alongside e-commerce
  • Develop a set of non-standard professional services that can be integrated with current systems for client services teams


The role of the Senior Business Analyst will have a strong business focus and be responsible for the definition of Business Operating Models and plans to drive the definition of solutions within strategic initiatives; taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance. The Senior Business Analyst will have strong experience in strategic business growth combined with technical expertise. This role and will be responsible for shaping the Business operating Model, business & technical requirements and design models to meet the business objectives & outcomes. They will be a true advocate for the business and will have the ability to see the bigger picture and apply experience and operational knowledge at a strategic level to drive better outcomes.


The role is the main point of contact with the business and the Senior Business Analyst will understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the strategic change, business operating models and associated requirements and will recommend solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its strategic goals.


Skills and experience required:


1

Has achieved proficiency as a Senior Business analysis through at least 7 years of business analysis experience, or gained substantial business experience, including some management or professional responsibility, and has received training in business analysis methods and techniques.

A subject matter expert, specifically in the strategic development of Business Operating Models

Has the ability to see the bigger picture before heading into the detail, understanding where the project fits in with the organisational goals and the ability to determine how the project impacts other projects or business
areas.

4

Has the ability to adapt communication styles to the needs of the audience so they are able to articulate business strategies and challenge the business in a confident and credible manor.




5

Techniques which help in modelling and understanding a business and its operation. (i.e. business environment analysis, business perspectives, functional business models, business driven development, process modelling, stakeholder analysis, relational data modelling, use case modelling, statistical process control, use
cases, user stories, Scrum, process mapping, benefits mapping)

Techniques for modelling and streamlining business processes. (i.e. Lean Six-Sigma DMAIC, error-proofing, value added assessment, process cycle time reduction, future-proofing, resilience, reliability, cost effectiveness)

7

Tools and techniques which can be used to document an understanding of the structure, relationships and use
of information within an organisation. (i.e. information usage model, entity model, class diagram, relational data model, data flow model)

8

Has excellent interpersonal skills and is fully experienced at stakeholder management.

9

Possesses an expert understanding of business and business skills, and the significance of commercial constraints.

10

Possesses a broad understanding of technologies and their suitable application for differing business purposes; to include e-commerce, content & learning management, and the assessment of existing technical tools against new business requirements

Educated to bachelor degree level and holds a relevant professional qualification.
