Salary: 40k circa (plus Bonus/Commission)

About the Role:
The HR Business Development Consultant will create, identify and develop new business opportunities for the Consultancy Team at Friary West, with a significant focus on building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, to proactively identify opportunities for Friary West and to add value for their clients.
You will build and maintain a network of contacts to increase the Company’s profile through effective strategies such as networking, speaking events, exhibitions, email, telephone and social media campaigns. Utilising these networks to identify business opportunities and encourage the referral of work, in line with Sales Strategy and Sales Targets.
The HR Business Development Consultant will be part of the internal Consultancy Team and will work closely with the Company’s network of Associates to ensure that risks and opportunities are identified and informed decisions are made to add value to clients and prospective clients.
You will manage the day to day running and execution of the Sales & Marketing functions within the Company, working with the Board to set and continuously monitor the Sales & Marketing strategy. Sharing innovative ideas on maximising Company potential and ultimately, growth within the HR Business Consultancy market.
-To build and maintain a network of contacts to identify business opportunities and encourage the referral of work;
-To actively find new clients, identifying ways to add value to their business and teams, estimating fees, writing proposals and winning new business contracts;
-To maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure opportunities for additional support are identified and provided;
-To set the Sales & Marketing strategy and measure performance against targets, identifying risks, issues and opportunities and regularly report to the Board;
-To create and execute effective marketing campaigns, including the creation of collateral and informative materials (eg Toolkits);
-To collaborate with the consultancy team, partnering at required times such as sales meetings, writing proposals and costings, ensuring their HR expertise is allocated appropriately to maximise new business closure and client wins;
-To collaborate with the Consultancy Team to create and develop products to sell and enhance the consultancy services provided;
-To contribute to the day-to-day running of the business, in possible areas such as financial management, managing suppliers, IT and business administration;
-To maintain accurate records including up to date CRM, sales pipeline, contact data etc;
-To encourage continuous professional development and sharing of ideas, products, updates and learning within the team.
To be considered for this role you will have:
-A proven track record of business development, in a Professional Services or HR related environment;
-An understanding of people management and organisational structures, with the curiosity to want to know more;
-An ability to communicate ideas, proposals, agreements and recommendations both verbally and in writing;
-Strong commercial business acumen;
-A confident networker who is able to influence, negotiate and build relationships with ease;
-The ability to find and secure new business and plan resources accordingly;
-Experience of Sales & Marketing planning, strategy and delivery.
-Desirably a CIPD qualification or a high level understanding of the current framework of employment legislation.
