Job Type: Permanent, full time 
Salary: £55,610 to £64,308 per annum

About the role: 

They now have a new opportunity for a Deputy Human Resources Director to join their team. The HR function consists of over 30 colleagues who provide a broad range of HR, Learning and Organisation Development, Health & Safety and Equality and Diversity services to the University. These services are provided to 3000 plus employees. 

In this new role, and acting as the deputy to the HR Director, you will work across the University with the HR leadership team to further develop and operate a leading HR function that consistently meets the University’s needs, enables all colleagues to give of their best and supports the delivery of the overall University Strategy. 

You will be accountable for supporting the HR Director in the development and implementation of the HR strategy by taking the operational lead across the core HR Business Partner functions, further building the capability of the function within an ethos of service excellence and HR professionalism. The ideal candidate will provide strong transformational leadership within the HR function and the wider University and seek opportunities to continuously improve the service and support that the HR team provides. 

About you: 

To be considered for this role, you will need to be an experienced HR professional who has had strong operational HR experience and is used to leading HR teams. CIPD qualified (or equivalent) you will have led people change programmes. You will be persuasive, passionate, an excellent communicator and be aligned to the University’s values.
