The Company
We have an exciting opportunity, based in Oxfordshire for an experienced Training Manager to develop and administer training programs for employees. This is working for a Global Components business that are growing year on year.

The Training Manager will be responsible for all aspects of product and sales effectiveness training, including assessing training and development needs for the organisation, creating high level training content and administering delivery and introducing a learning management system.

The Job

  • Determine training needs and requirements for the organisation, globally, specifically associated with product training and sales effectiveness
  • Develop high level training materials for face to face and virtual training sessions and deploy a wide variety of training methods
  • Train the sales forces on the skills and aspects of their roles that are essential to being well prepared, knowledgeable and confident to foster a culture of learning and sales effectiveness
  • Consult with Global Product Management, Sales and other key stakeholders to assure that corporate business objectives are met through training initiatives
  • Establish learning outcomes for the training courses with SMART development goals around sales effectiveness
  • Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness and report on success through return on investment, manager feedback and needs assessment tools
  • Schedule training courses and manage the learning management system
  • Work with managers to address learning issues or new educational needs
  • Manage the training budget
  • Maintain understanding of new educational and training techniques and benchmark us against best in class training


The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a training manager
  • Experienced in the development and introduction of training programs
  • Knowledge of training principles and techniques; such as adult learning principles, instructional methodology, train the trainer, blended learning and e-learning
  • Project management skills would be advantageous
  • Strong presentation skills at all levels
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Language skills would be an advantage
  • Determined and enthusiastic attitude with sound commercial judgement
  • BS degree in education, human resources or relevant commercial field
  • Desire to progress in a commercial organisation
