Our client is one of the UK’s leading independent bonds specialists. They provide an alternative to bank guarantees in the form surety bonds. Surety bonds are financial instruments that are currently experiencing a lot of growth as companies seek to find a better solution to meet their bonding requirements.

This is 3 month internship with the view to go permanent. Salary: £30K

How you can expect to spend your day:

The candidate will be well supported and will have access to specialist consultants. There will also be training in all areas. There are 6 main areas of focus currently and they are listed below.


* Assist with management for hosted and sponsored events, including lunches, dinners, and technical briefings

* Assist with booking of hosts through talent agencies and attending at all events

* Uploading of content to various social media platforms

* Uploading of video content to social media platforms

* Liaising with press

* Assisting writing profile packs for events

* Printing of invitations, magazines, white papers


* Assisting with all marketing activities, including digital and hard copy. The firm has an outsourced Marketing consultancy and you will liaise extensively with them

* Keeping web-site up to date

* Assisting with the re-design of the web-site

* Distribution of articles/white-papers

* Assisting campaigns to launch products

Human Resources, Training, and Development:

* Assist with the production of the company’s accelerated management scheme

* Assist with the production and development of the handboo

* Assist with the drafting of new contracts for all employees, liaising extensively with lawyers

* Maintain holiday, sickness, and study training leave for all employees

* Assisting with the design of management training for all employees

Information Technology:

* Assist with the strategic development of the firm’s IT systems


* Scheduling of weekly traffic meetings

* Circulation of papers from meeting

* Collection of weekly reports from Client team

* Client meetings

* Underwriting meetings

* Marketing meeting


* Payment of invoices

* Creation of invoices

* Reporting of financial information

* Streamlining of some financial processes, working closely with our accountants

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:

Technical Knowledge:

* In-depth training will be provided

* Basic understanding of Company Structure, including Associated and Affiliated Companies.

* Understanding of strategic and operational roles

* Basic understanding of Statutory Financial Accounts

* Basic understanding of Management Accounts, including inter alia Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

Personal Characteristics:
