This is an exciting opportunity for one of the leading Education organisations of Arts & Culture in London. It would be helpful for this role if you have previous Education/ University experience though this is not a must. The organisation has 6 campuses and circa 6000 staff made up of permanent and contract/ casual Academics & Head Office staff. This is a unique organisation and it is very important that your communication skills are at a high level of consistency and that you have an attention to detail to work in this role.
Duties of the role as follows:
Develop an employee relations strategy for the University
working with HR colleagues and senior leaders to deliver this.
You will manage the HR Consultants, providing professional and proactive employee relations leadership ensuring that best practice for people is developed across the University looking at thewhole employee lifecycle e.g capability, disciplinary, performance management, and redundancy.
You will be a key influence within the leadership team and across the HR community. You will be aware of and influence people policies that need to be developed and ensure these policies and
processes are aligned to the improvement of the University's objectives, in particular around employee relations, staff retention and turnover and staff engagement.
You will have substantial experience of leading an employee relations function within a complex,unionised organisation, (including strategy development and implementation).
