Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust (C.H.A.T.) is a Multi-Academy Trust set up to run and manage four Primary and one Secondary Academies serving up to 3000 children. Based in Edmonton we are focused on driving up the quality of education provision and standards. We are now recruiting a Head of Human Resources to ensure we have the HR policies and practices in place to ensure we attract and retain good people to deliver excellent outcomes for all pupils.
As Head of Human Resources you will work alongside executive and educational leaders
to formulate and implement our HR strategy and associated policies. You will advise the Trust Board of Directors and the Executive Team on compliance and risk management issues, ensure we meet Public Sector Equality Duty requirements and make certain of best practice in HR matters throughout the Trust. We will look to you to develop our position as an employer of choice by taking responsibility for recruitment and shaping strategies around retention, succession planning, talent management and learning and development. You will also lead and develop HR team members so they are able to deliver an efficient, effective and professional service to the Academies. Important will be the ability to advise on as well as manage change initiatives, including workforce remodelling and organisational restructuring.
To succeed you must be CIPD qualified with substantial experience of managing HR functions in a complex organisation, including some time in the education sector. You will be used to working in a unionised environment and expert at implementing HR information systems and processes. An effective communicator you will also possess strong negotiation, presentation and influencing skills. You will be comfortable motivating people and controlling budgets too. Critically you will need to be committed to the aims and objectives of CHAT as a provider of the highest quality education to children in our area.
