As the Head of Payroll Operations you will be responsible for the delivery of outsourced payroll. This role will lead and manage the operational payroll teams and also liaise with clients to ensure service is delivered.

This role will liaise with both offshore and onshore teams within the organisations and also work in collaboration with sales and account managers.

You will be a key part of the leadership team and report to the board on a regular basis.

Duties include:

Running a large operational payroll team

Providing external and internal stakeholders with specialist knowledge and advice.

Monthly reporting to the board.

Liaise frequently with client on all payroll related matters.

Motivate and engage teams whilst optimising performance and improving their productivity.

Hire, train and develop staff.

Ensure that revenue opportunities are captured from new and existing customers and build a strong relationship with customers.


Strong Payroll and HR experience.

At least 5 years' experience in a management role.

Excellent knowledge of UK payroll.

Strong customer service experience.

Experience of LEAN project methodology.

CIPP Qualified.

Strong Systems exposure - ResourceLink is highly desirable.
