Location: Cowley
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

About the Job

As Head of People Services you will drive People Services and focus on ensuring all our clients HR daily processes, data, and systems are as effective and efficient as possible, enabling the function to focus on the value adding activities of the strategy but also ensuring that they can offer a cost effective service to their contracts.

Leading the agenda to design and implement capabilities, processes, and structures you will ensure the HR function is delivering safe, legal, and ethical practices, supporting business requirements in line with the UL and Group strategy to the highest quality and most efficient manner.   

You will measure quality and service ensuring we are delivering services that are cost competitive to support new business and acting as a source of competitive advantage in their approach and outcomes.

Leading the improvement of the Administration and Advice teams through your leadership of the teams, coaching and Data Protection compliance to enhance their services and create greater efficiencies and effectiveness in their ways of working.

You will work with the Group HR Director in supporting the Executive community in generalist HR related matters.

About You

They’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!

- Experience of leading a People Services function – including Administration, Advice, and Reward
- TUPE experience – leading this from a People Services and Payroll perspective
- Reward – annual pay review and bonus process
- Continuous improvement experience – using lean tools and techniques
- GDPR compliance and security experience
- HR capability – developing your own team and a wider People Services agenda
- Executive HR support – generalist support for the Executive team
- HR systems implementation and development
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ideally CIPD level 7 qualified or equivalent experience
