As our HR Administrator you’ll provide administrative support to our People Team and Payroll Team. You’ll be responsible for remuneration, compensation and benefits by report running, running mail merges, updating spreadsheets and generally maintain information and systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Logging data on to our Payroll/HR database.

  • To issue P45’s on a fortnightly and monthly basis.

  • To process data received from external bodies and sources e.g. P45, P46, Attachment of Earnings Orders, Court Orders and carry out relevant monthly payovers.

  • To coordinate benefits administration for Private Health Care, Perkbox, long-service awards, Team Member of the Month Vouchers and childcare vouchers. Also to liaise with suppliers as appropriate to keep within the agreed budget and provide appropriate management information.

  • To respond to reference requests and send request references for new starters.

  • To deal with maternity/ paternity and shared parental leave administration and to offer basic advice to managers on risk assessments and legislation.

  • To run and check the quarterly and annual management bonus report for the finance department, generating and issuing bonus letters through mail merging.

  • To manage the annual pay review process, maintaining and updating payroll spreadsheets and generating, issuing pay review letters.

  • To generate and issue Total Reward Statements to the business, working alongside our design agency and finance team to produce these in house.

  • To collate relevant information for P11D processing.

  • Responding to a variety of queries, running reports and using data manipulation as and when requested.

  • To set up personnel files for new starters and organise leaver documentation, archiving leavers and liaising with the storage supplier where necessary. Maintain personnel files, checking for correct documentation and signed policies.

  • To travel to other locations for meetings or training where requested.

  • To complete any other task as reasonably requested.

  • To co-ordinate our top talent programmes, HR workshops and apprenticeship programmes


Person Specification

Essential Requirements

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Ability to run mail merges without support

  • Word and Excel skills from intermediate to advanced level

  • Previous database experience

  • Confident, professional telephone manner

  • Good customer service skills

  • Appreciation of confidentiality

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Accurate and organised


Desirable Requirements

  • Previous HR experience

  • Previous Payroll experience

  • PowerPoint experience

  • Experience using an HR/Payroll database

  • Own transport, clean driving license
